I am a Doctor in Education Leadership & Administration, experienced educator, and school administrator with vision, proven results, and a lifelong passion for creating better opportunities for children through education. As a first generation immigrant, my parents' high expectations and teachers’ support were a critical factor in ambition and success.
I started my career as a bilingual paraprofessional and parent volunteer in grades K-12 before following the path that would lead me to the role of administrator. As a Curriculum and Instruction Specialist, I was reminded of the importance of data in the decision-making process. I am passionate about providing students with an education that is focused on them, and pushes them, through increased rigor in content and implementing critical thinking activities.
My pedagogy and success in skill are proven through increased student achievement. In my first academic year at Ribault, students’ proficiency levels in the American History and Civics end of year assessments increased to a 92% pass rate from less than 50%. As a Social Science Chairperson I also provided effective instructional leadership; creating a team that is cohesive, successful and planning vertically, ensuring student success.
I am the educators’, educator, an agent of change who believes that creating leaders and lifelong learners in the classroom doesn’t end with students but includes teachers. This belief extends to my knowledge and work with leaders in other sectors as they navigate their own pursuits of academic excellence.
I look forward to supporting your differentiatED journey.
